HYDERABAD: The Congress has sought to advise the ruling TRS to stop its political drama of fighting with the BJP government to achieve more funds for Telangana in the ensuing union budget.
“After supporting the Narendra Modi government on GST, demonetisation, elections of president and the vice president of India and for passing of various Acts in the parliament in the last seven years, the ruling TRS is now trying to mislead the people of Telangana as if it is going to raise its voice against the Modi government in the budget session of the Parliament," said Telangana Congress senior vice president Mallu Ravi on Sunday.

He demanded that the ruling TRS should stage a dharna in New Delhi along with the Congress and other opposition parties to exert pressure on the Narendra Modi-led BJP government to implement the promises made to Telangana in the State Reorganisation Act.
He also demanded that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should come clear on his party’s stand on the Pegasus issue and whether the TRS will join hands with the Congress and other like-minded parties on this issue against the Modi government.
Stating that the TRS and BJP are two sides of the same coin, the Congress member demanded that the ruling party in the state release a white paper on the assurances made to Telangana in the State Reorganisation Act and those achieved by the TRS government in the last seven years in the backdrop of its so-called strategic friendly relations with the BJP government at the Centre in the interests of Telangana.
The Congress leader sought to advise BJP state president Bandi Sanjay to organise the million march in New Delhi against the Modi government for failing to give two crore jobs every year.
